A Bit About Me

Hi there! My name is Alexis (Alex) Kitchmire and I'm a digital artist/designer from the Southern New Jersey/ Philadelphia area (Go Birds). For the past five years, I have been working heavily within the indie music scene creating merchandise, music videos, concert backdrops, and overall art direction. I absolutely adore working directly with musicians, artists, and other creatives to come up with new and interesting concepts and ideas! Along with designing within the music scene, I have also been developing my graphic design skills as a digital Cartographer working to create safety mapping for public schools to keep people safe with Critical Response Group. When I'm not working, you can find me behind a refurbished drum kit from the 80s desperately trying to pretend I can play any of Rush's discography or cooking up a new recipe in my kitchen.

Work Experience

Created, implemented, and taught procedures and standards for Cartography and Implementation departments.
Interviewed prospective applicants along with administering technical skills tests, as well as onboarded new employees multiple times a quarter.
Managed new employees during their training period by assigning and reviewing every project while providing constructive feedback.
Created and implemented professional development material for different departments within the company.
Administers evaluations for both new employees throughout the training process as well as other members of the training team.
Collaborated with clients and project managers to update designs and overall products.
Utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator daily to create products for both the clients and the company.
Managed products from start to finish, and actively worked in each phase of the product.
Communicated with other product designers at varying skill levels to creatively problem solve and produce a comprehensive product.
Communicated updates and changes to the department effectively and in a timely manner as well as updating documents to reflect new material.

Conceptualized, directed, animated, and compiled music and lyric videos using the Adobe Creative Suite for Diamond City Studios (Brooklyn, NY).
Collaborated and communicated closely with clients through every phase of a project to produce an end product the client was happy with.
Designed merchandise (clothing, buttons, stickers, flyers) to be sold on both national and international tours (The Happy Fits).
Collaborated with other designers/artists to create banner animations and album designs used on Spotify.
Designed advertising package for national pickleball tournament “Dink Across America” sponsored by Gamma and Franklin brands.
Consistently worked simultaneously on projects in order to meet client’s time sensitive deadlines.
Awarded third place in “2020 Cartoon of the Year” by Associated Collegiate Press for Op-Ed illustration.
